Aplikasi ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi antara Kementerian Agraria dan Tata Ruang serta Badan Pertanahan Nasional (ATR/BPN).
Selain cek sertifikat tanah, lewat aplikasi ini kita juga bisa mencari tahu detail persyaratan, proses pengurusan sertifikat dan lokasi suatu bidang tanah.
Sayangnya, tidak semua informasi di dalam aplikasi ini dapat diakses secara bebas.

Agar lebih mudah, berikut panduan cek sertifikat tanah melalui aplikasi BPN Sentuh Tanahku:
Buka aplikasi Play Store (untuk pengguna Android) dan App Store (untuk pengguna iOS) pada smartphoneuntuk kemudian mengunduh aplikasi ‘Sentuh Tanahku’;
Setelah terunduh, klik menu ‘Daftar Akun Baru’ untuk melakukan registrasi data diri. Masukan pula username, password, dan alamat email di dalam kolom yang tersedia;
Jika sudah mendaftar, sistem akan secara otomatis mengirim email pemberitahuan ke kontakmu;
Cek email pemberitahuan dari aplikasi dan klik tautan di dalamnya;
Tautan tersebut akan membawamu langsung ke halaman aktivasi pengguna, lanjutkan dengan mengklik tombol ‘Aktivasi’ untuk mengaktifkan akun;
Lakukan login menggunakan username dan password yang telah dibuat; dan
Setelah masuk ke halaman depan aplikasi, lanjutkan dengan klik menu ‘Info Sertifikat.’ Fitur ‘Info Sertifikat’ ini menyediakan keseluruhan data sertifikat tanah hingga info kepemilikannya.
Untuk memastikan keaslian dokumen tanah, silakan kunjungi kantor ATR/BPN Kota Tangerang yang beralamat di Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No.Kavling 5, Kecamatan Tangerang.
Kemudian, ajukan proses pemeriksaan ke loket yang telah tersedia.
Jika sertifikat dinyatakan asli, petugas BPN akan memberi cap resmi sebagai bukti pemeriksaan.

Namun, bila keaslian sertifikat masih diragukan, maka akan dilakukan proses plotting.
Plotting adalah proses verifikasi keaslian sertifikat tanah dengan teknologi GPS, yang dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui posisi asli lahan pada database peta pendaftaran BPN.
Bila lokasi lahan di sertifikat sesuai dengan plotting BPN, maka sertifikat itu dinilai asli.
Namun, jika lokasi tanah tidak muncul, bisa jadi lahan tersebut belum didaftarkan atau memiliki sertifikat palsu.
4. Cek Sertifikat Tanah Melalui Mesin KiosK

Selain lewat loket, cara cek sertifikat di BPN juga bisa dilakukan dengan mesin KiosK.
Mesin ini biasanya terletak di lobi ataupun ruang pelayanan kantor BPN.
Dengan KiosK, kita bisa memperoleh informasi terkait pelayanan pertanahan, syarat-syarat, dan jangka waktu penyelesain.
Bahkan, kita juga bisa mengetahui besaran biaya layanan serta informasi lainnya, tanpa harus mengantri di loket.
Jika Anda memilih cara cek sertifikat langsung ke BPN, jangan lupa juga menyiapkan dokumen dan persyaratan yang akan diminta pada saat pengajuan antara lain
Membawa sertifikat tanah yang akan diperiksa;
Surat tugas atau surat kuasa pengecekan dari PPAT kepada pegawainya;
Form permohonan pengecekan sertifikat (tersedia di kantor BPN);
Fotokopi KTP pemilik sertifikat; dan
Biaya administrasi sebesar Rp50.000,00 per sertifikat.
